Bavarian International School e.V.

The BavarianInternationalSchool e.V. (BIS) was established in 1991 as a non-profit association (einegetragener Verein) to serve the international community of the Munich area. BIS is an IB World School, offering children from Early Childhood (age 4) through to Grade 12 a full day, international education in English. BIS is authorized to teach the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. BIS is governed by a Board of Trustees and is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC).  BIS is also a member of AGIS, the Association of German International Schools. In August 2015, BIS opened a new Primary School City Campus for children aged 4-11 years old in the city of Munich.
