Canadian International School

CIS offers International Baccalaureate (PYP, MYP and IB DP) to international students across two campuses, at Lakeside and Tanjong Katong in Singapore. It is certified by CIS, EduTrust and WASC.

The student body is diverse with a population from over 70 countries. French, Chinese and Spanish are offered as foreign languages at various levels. In 2014, CIS launched a bilingual Chinese-English program for students in Junior Kindergarten through to Grade 5. Starting in August 2016, full day Chinese immersion classes will be available to students in Pre-Kindergarten.

The school year runs from August to June, with the longest break in December. Students may enter the school throughout the year, subject to availability of places. For admission, previous school reports and test results are reviewed, though students may be asked to participate in placement tests. For students who are not proficient in English, there are differing admission requirements according to grade of entry, which may include taking the British Council Aptis test. New students in IBDP can only enter at beginning of the two-year academic program.
